Itinerary

Day 1: Saqqara, Memphis, Giza Pyramids & Dinner

Departure to Cairo
At the scheduled time, your trip begins with a pickup from Hurghada. You will travel to Cairo in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle accompanied by your expert Egyptologist. The journey is designed for comfort, with a scheduled stop for breakfast, coffee, and restroom facilities, ensuring you arrive in Cairo refreshed.

Saqqara Complex
Your first destination is the Saqqara Complex. Here, you will explore the Pyramid of Unas, which houses the earliest known Pyramid Texts, offering insight into ancient funerary rituals. Next, proceed to the Step Pyramid of Djoser, recognized as the first limestone structure built in history and a key stage in pyramid evolution. You will also visit the well-preserved Tomb of Idut, featuring vibrant inscriptions that depict daily life in ancient Egypt.

Memphis
Continue to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt. You will view the massive Colossus of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx, both standing as testaments to the city’s historical significance.

Lunch
Enjoy a break at a local restaurant serving traditional Egyptian food. You will have the chance to watch authentic bread-baking techniques during your meal.

Giza Pyramids Complex
Proceed to the Giza Plateau to visit the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World. Your guide will discuss various construction theories, including concepts regarding energy, geological structures beneath the pyramids, and the alignment with Orion’s Belt. You will also learn about the precise engineering techniques used by the ancient builders.

Queens’ Pyramids & Solar Boats
The tour includes the three smaller Queens' Pyramids and the Solar Boat Pits. Your Egyptologist will explain the function of these vessels, debating whether they transported royal mummies and if the Nile once extended to this specific location. You will also view the tombs of the pyramid builders to understand the lives of the workers.

The Sphinx & Valley Temple
Head to the Valley Temple, the site attributed to the mummification process of the kings. Then, stand before the Great Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and a human head, dating back 4,500 years.

Panoramic View
After viewing the Pyramids of Chephren and Menkaure, you will move to the Panorama Point for a complete view of the entire Giza Plateau, perfect for photos.

Hotel Check-in
Transfer to your hotel in Cairo for check-in, giving you time to refresh and relax.

Dinner
For dinner, you will have a traditional meal at a local Egyptian restaurant. Alternatively, an optional Nile Dinner Cruise is available.

Meals: Lunch, Dinner.

Day two, Cairo Hurghada

Visit the Egyptian Museum, Saladin Citadel, Alabaster Mosque, El Moez Street, and Khan El-Khalili Bazaar

Morning & Check-out
Start with breakfast at your hotel, followed by check-out. Your Egyptologist will meet you in the lobby to begin the day’s tour.

The Egyptian Museum
Begin your visit on the ground floor, which houses a vast collection of large-scale statues. You will view colossal figures of pharaohs such as Ramses II, Amenhotep III, and Akhenaten, alongside intricately carved sarcophagi.
Ascend to the upper floor to view the collection of Pharaonic golden treasures, including the iconic burial mask, coffins, and statues of Tutankhamun. The museum also displays artifacts reflecting daily life in ancient Egypt, such as papyrus scrolls and tools, as well as a significant collection of mummies.

Lunch
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant serving traditional Egyptian cuisine.

The Citadel of Saladin & the Mohamed Ali Mosque
Proceed to the Cairo Citadel, a medieval Islamic fortification located on a high hill offering panoramic views of the city (and the Giza Pyramids on clear days). Inside the citadel walls, you will visit the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, known as the Alabaster Mosque. Built in the Ottoman style, the mosque is defined by its towering minarets and impressive alabaster façade.

El Moez Street
Next, explore El Moez Street, often referred to as an open-air museum of Islamic architecture. Dating back to the Fatimid era, the street is lined with historic mosques, madrasas, and hammams. Starting from the Bab El-Ftouh gate, your walk includes highlights such as the Al-Hakim Mosque and the Qalawun complex, which features a mosque, a madrasa, and an ancient hospital (Bimaristan).

Khan El-Khalili Bazaar
Conclude your tour at Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, a historic trading center since the 14th century. Explore the labyrinthine alleys filled with stalls offering handicrafts, spices, perfumes, and jewelry. You may also enjoy traditional Egyptian tea at one of the historic coffeehouses.

Very kind and profesional people. In every trip that I went with them, all details were taking care of. Ashraf is the most knowledgeable tour guide that I ever met in my life. You will go on a trip and come back as friends. I highly recommend golavita Tours!

Great experience from the start to finish. Golavita excelled on all fronts from good customer service, customer care and eager to provide customer excellence. They organised a simple, cost effective and efficient service with their Luxor trip package. The van was almost brand new, great drivers, couple stops for refreshments and got us bang on time to Luxor. It was a 12 seater van with just 8 tourists leaving plenty of space for everyone to stretch and be comfortable. I have long legs and so I had requested specific seats which was booked for me in advance and I didn't get any hassle by drivers or other co passengers. The guide was Sherriff and I really really enjoyed the way he delivered the site seeing experience. Sheriff spoke fluent in English and with a Masters in Egyptology and 4 decades of experience there couldn't have been a better guide. I highly recommend Sherriff as a guide and Islam and Ahmed as the drivers of fellow Brits tourists.Above all I want to thank Golavita for organising this incredible journey.

We organiced a big 2 day trip via Akram, two month before from germany. Communication before (and after) was very good! Serious agency. Also special wishes (flights for six people cairo, luxor, balonride) were also taken into account. Thanks!

Our experience on the Dahabiya with Golavita was absolutely fantastic. We had a very professional guide, Mohamed Nagdy who spoke excellent Spanish, and we learned about the fascinating history of Ancient Egypt in a relaxed and enjoyable way. The Dahabiya Iris is truly recommended, a perfect combination of comfort and culture.

We had a great quad bike ride in the afternoon. The guide had a great energy and humor that made the tour extra good. On the way to the tour we had a driver that shouldn't be driving tourist, but when we told it to the company they gave us a another driver that drove perfect so we could relax in the car. That's a good and professional way of handling a problem. We can recommend this company.

Great private tour to see desert and abandoned Roman ruins. Excellent service. We had private jeep, driver and tour guide. Amazing adventure, more than we expected. I strongly recommend this service. They can take you to some cool and unknown places far from main routes. Thank you for the amazing time!
