After sailing back to Philae Port, we proceed to the last stop in an air-conditioned vehicle.
Explore the Unfinished Obelisk:
Arrive at this ancient granite quarry in Aswan, meeting the largest known ancient obelisk ever attempted, estimated to be about 42 meters long and would have weighed over 1,000 tons if completed! This site reveals the engineering skill and ambition of ancient Egyptian builders, uncovering secrets about one of their architectural marvels. You will still see the engineers' lines and tools on the obelisk!

The visit lasts around 1 hour and 30 minutes, going back to the Dahabiya by horse carriage.

Explore the Valley of the Kings:
It is a royal burial ground for pharaohs of the New Kingdom (1550–1070 BC), with over 60 tombs having been carved into the rock—each with its artwork, layout, and history—with vivid, colorful scenes from the Book of the Dead, star maps, and stories of the pharaoh’s journey to the afterlife. You can visit the best three of these tombs, including the Tomb of Ramses III (KV 11), the Tomb of Ramses IV (KV 2), the Tomb of Merenptah (KV 8), the Tomb of Ramses IX (KV 6), the Tomb of Tausert & Setnakht (KV 14), and the Tomb of Siptah (KV 47).

Marvel at Hatshepsut Temple:
It is one of the unique mortuary temples in ancient Egypt, built for Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most powerful and successful pharaohs — and one of the few women to rule as king The temple has a unique three-level structure with colonnaded terraces connected by Deir El Bahri ramps — incredibly modern-looking for its time.
The visit lasts around 1 hour and 30 minutes. With the accompaniment of your Egyptologist, cross through the Colossi of Memnon.
Colossi of Memnon Stop:
The statues depict Amenhotep III seated on a throne during the 18th Dynasty (around 1386–1349 BC), hands resting on knees, facing east toward the Nile and the rising sun, adorning the largest mortuary temple in ancient Egypt. In ancient times, the northern colossus would “sing” or make a musical, whistling sound at dawn — described as a "melodic hum" or "crying voice." Discover how that is!
This stop, during which we take non-repeatable photos, lasts 45 minutes. Afterward, we proceed to the local restaurant.
Lunchtime:
Savor one of the most delicious Egyptian lunch meals in a local restaurant.
Karnak Temple:
Built and expanded over more than 2,000 years by successive pharaohs, especially during the New Kingdom (c. 1550–1070 BC), it was dedicated primarily to the Theban Triad: Amun-Ra (sun god), Mut (his wife), and Khonsu (their son). At Karnak Temple, you can wander through the greatest hypostyle hall in history, which features 134 massive sandstone columns that are 10 to 21 meters tall, an avenue of sphinxes, towering obelisks of Hatshepsut and Thutmose I, sacred lakes, and much more.
The visit to Karnak Temple lasts around 2 hours.
