Hotel pick up
The trip starts from your hotel at 4:5 AM (depending on the hotel’s location). From the beginning of the day until the end, you don’t need any additional transportation. The van is modern and air-conditioned.
Van goes directly to Luxor and has an insurance convoy accompanying it throughout the round trip. It takes 4 hours to arrive. but don’t worry; it will stop in the middle of the road to take a rest.
Due to the small number of people traveling with you, you will receive great attention from your guide and it will feel like a private trip.
Karnak Temple (9:30-11:30am)
Your first stop will be Karnak Temple, which was considered the most important place of worship for the ancient Egyptians and is the most visited ancient religious site.
Karnak Temple was built by Ramses II and was initially called the Temple of Amun. It consists of 10 buildings and has 8 entrances. It will be the right time as the sun brightens the walls and statues, causing an unparalleled feeling where the past merges with the present.
Once you enter the temple, you will find a large board of the temples inside Karnak. You will know the moving plan and will visit every place in it. Your tour of the temple lasts for about two hours, during which you can learn all the historical details and enjoy the beauty of the Pharaonic design and execution. You will have enough time to take unique pictures that you will not be able to get anywhere else.
Local Lunch (12:00-01:00pm)
Now, you will go to a local Egyptian restaurant to try delicious Egyptian food and have an unparalleled Egyptian oriental lunch (Trip cost does not include drinks).
Our next stop will be on the other bank of the Nile, so we will prepare to board a Nile boat to move to the other bank (transfer only, not a long trip). The trip is available at additional costs.
After getting off the boat, the first to welcome you will be the two famous statues of Memnon.
Colossi of Memnon (01:30-02:00pm)
The Colossi of Memnon are all that remain of the temple commemorating Amenhotep III. A nice anecdote is mentioned about these statues. About 1,300 years after their creation, cracks and fissures occurred in them, which led to a sound being issued from the left statue every morning when the morning air passed and mixed with dew drops. It was said that it sings with sunrise every day.
It will take 10 to 20 minutes to learn about the two statues and their history and take some pictures of them and with them.
The Valley of the Kings (02:00-3:30)
Within a short distance, you will move to our next stop, the Valley of the Kings. It may be the most interesting stop in the tour. The Valley of the Kings is a burial ground for the pharaohs and nobles of ancient Egypt, as it contains about 63 Pharaonic tombs.
During the 18th Dynasty, and because of the kings' fear of their tombs being stolen, they thought of building hidden tombs for the kings in the Valley of the Kings area to preserve them. Indeed, these tombs remained hidden from the world until two centuries ago, and they became one of the largest exploration areas related to Egyptology.
If you do not believe in the curse of the Pharaohs, you will be able to enter 3 tombs and discover the ways of burying the dead in ancient Egypt. It will take about 60-90 minutes.
The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (03:30-04:15)
Finally, we arrive at our last stop. Now you will be enchanted by the beauty of one of the most important temples in Egypt and the world, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, where the grandeur, richness, and luxury of ancient Egyptian architecture and designs are evident. Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of King Thutmose I, ordered its construction during the 18th Dynasty. It took 15 years to build during her reign and is distinguished by a unique design that differs from other temples.
The Temple of Hatshepsut is one of the rarest artworks in the world. You will start climbing the long corridor to enter (it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes throughout the day) and you will enjoy the inscriptions that have preserved their luster and colors to this day. Also, the view of the temple with its mountainous background will not leave your imagination and you will return to visit it again (this is not my words). You can ask those who actually visited it). You will enjoy the Temple of Hatshepsut for about 45 minutes.
Now, after this amount of beauty, information, and pictures that we obtained today, we will leave this wonderful place to head back to the hotel. The car will move back to Hurghada. The way back takes about 4 hours (arrival to the hotel around 8:30-9:30pm, depending on the hotel’s location).
