Abu Simbel Visit (Lasts to 2 Hours)
- Arrive at the Abu Simbel Temples, seeing the four colossal statues of Ramses II dominate the facade—each about 20 meters/66 feet tall.
- Enter the gate in between the giant statues, wandering amid the hypostyle hall that is lined with giant Osiris-style statues of Ramses II (about 10 meters tall).
- Visit the multiple side rooms with vibrant inscriptions from the Ramses II era.
- Arrive at the Sanctuary, with four seated statues of gods: Ptah, Amun, Ramses (as a god for the first time), and Ra-Horakhty.
