Itinerary
Day 1, Aswan

Start your Nile adventure with Nayera Dahabiya Nile Cruise when you meet your expert archeologist guide at Aswan airport, train station, or Aswan hotel.

High Dam

The Aswan High Dam is a real engineering miracle, and it was built between 1960 and 1970. Because of the dam, Egypt was able to add thousands of new hectares and generate hydroelectric power. But the dam caused the rising waters behind it, and Nubia disappeared, but the Egyptian government relocated 100,000 Nubians between Aswan and Edfu in many Nubian villages.

Finish your tour, then drive to your next stop

Philae temple

Isis Temple, or Philae Temple, was the pilgrimage place for Egyptians and Nubians alike, as it was a healing center. You will reach the temple after a short ride with a motorboat, and once you are in the temple, you will be amazed with everything here. Actually, the temple took 8 years to be moved from Philae Island to Agilkia Island. There is a lot to see here, like the best Mammisi in Egypt, Hadrian's Gate, Hathor Chapel, Trajan's Kiosk, and Coptic Church. Enjoy your tour before you go to check in at the Dahabiya cruise and start your luxurious 4 days on board.

Meals:

Lunch, dinner

Day 2, Kom Ombo

Enjoy your first breakfast on board, then relax on the deck while sailing towards Kom Ombo temple.

Kom Ombo temple

The temple is not in very good condition but is still unique compared to all ancient Egyptian temples. For example, the only double temple in Egypt was dedicated to two gods, Sobek the crocodile and Haroreis the hawk.

Also, some of the carvings never were repeated anywhere else, such as surgical instruments, the ancient calendar, ancient Egyptian nomes, and the astronomical ceiling. Besides, the temple has clinics, a pharmacy, and an amazing nilometer. At the end of the tour, you will visit the Crocodile Museum before you walk back to the Dahabiya Cruise.

Meals:

Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 3, Edfu

After having your breakfast while sailing towards Edfu city, upon arrival you will enjoy a short horse carriage ride to the temple.

Edfu temple

The Horus temple, or Edfu temple, is a Ptolemaic temple built between 237 and 57 BC and was dedicated to Horus, the son of Isis and Osiris.

Actually, the only temple still keeps the original Naos from the Nectanebo II era. Also, the Mammisi is still in good condition besides the Nout chapel, the oil room, and the best pylon, 36 meters high. In fact, the ritual of constructing any temple is designed here in detail beside the struggle between Horus and Seth.

Meals:

Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 4, Disembarkation Esna

Enjoy your last tasty breakfast on board your Dahabiya Nile Cruise, then check-out and head to Luxor with your guide. You will start your Luxor day tours with some of the best Luxor attractions.

Valley of Kings

The Kings Valley is one of the most visited sights in Egypt, as it was the burial place for ancient Egyptian Pharaohs for about 500 years. All the kings of the 18th dynasty, 19th dynasty, and 20th dynasty are buried in tombs carved inside the mountain. On the walls of these tombs, you can explore the holy books and the magical spells like Book of Dead, Opening of the Mouth, Book of Day, and the Book of Caverns.

Also, you can visit Tutankhamun tomb, Ramses V & Ramses VI tomb, and Tomb of Sety I against charge.

Hatshepsut temple

The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari is totally different from the Valley of Kings. Here, you can admire the daily life scenes like agriculture in ancient Egypt, harvest ceremonies, trade in ancient Egypt, and music in ancient Egypt. In fact, Hatshepsut has a long story with her half-brother and husband Thutmose II, then her nephew Thutmose III. Listen to the story from your guide and shoot nice photos at Anubis chapel and Hathor chapel.

Colossi of Memnon

The Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III is famous for the Memnon Colossi statutes. Here, you will know more about Egyptian mythology and the story of the singing statues.

Lunch

Enjoy a freshly cooked lunch at a local restaurant with the possibility of a vegetarian meal before you head to your last sightseeing.

Karnak temple

During your visit to Karnak Temple, you will learn about ancient Egyptian religion, architecture in ancient Egypt, and sculpture in ancient Egypt. Moreover, Egyptian gods like Amun-re, Osiris, Ptah, Sekhmet, Maat, and Horus. Meanwhile, you can discover amazing sites like Ptah temple, Sekhmet chapel, Sacred Lake, Hatshepsut Obelisk, and the first peace treaty in history.

We had a great quad bike ride in the afternoon. The guide had a great energy and humor that made the tour extra good. On the way to the tour we had a driver that shouldn't be driving tourist, but when we told it to the company they gave us a another driver that drove perfect so we could relax in the car. That's a good and professional way of handling a problem. We can recommend this company.
