Itinerary
Day 1: Visit Aswan High Dam, Philae Temple and Unfinished Obelisk & Cruise Check-in

A Professional Pickup in Aswan:

At the site selected by you in Aswan and at the agreed time, meet your Egyptologist from Golavita. Take your seat in the modern AC vehicle, going ahead to the first stop in this day tour.

The visit to the Aswan High Dam lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

You will meet one of the 20th century's architectural marvels, an extraordinary engineering feat due to its massive scale; it ranks as one of the largest earth-fill dams in the world, constructed from rock and earth materials rather than concrete. There, you see also the largest man-made lake, Lake Nasser.

The visit to the Philae Temple lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Arrive at Philae Port and take a motorboat to sail to Philae Temple, which is situated on Agilkia Island and appears dramatically as you navigate the Nile.  Explore the grand Temple of Isis (main structure), smaller temples dedicated to Hathor, Horus, and Augustus, beautiful courtyards, colonnades, and relief carvings, arriving at Pharaoh's Bed that overlooks the Nile.

The visit to the Unfinished Obelisk lasts approximately 45 minutes.

This largest obelisk in history, carved directly from the granite bedrock at the Aswan quarry, offers a rare, behind-the-scenes look into how ancient Egyptians built their colossal monuments, and it helps explain the incredible engineering skills of a civilization thousands of years ago.

Nile Cruise Check-in:

Enjoy the warm welcome from the Royal Ruby II Nile Cruise crew, and relish your lunch.

Have a relaxing night on board the Nile Cruise with dinner.

Meals Included:

  • Lunch.
  • Dinner.
Day 2: Visit Kom Ombo Temple & Sail to Edfu

Enjoy your breakfast in the refreshing atmosphere of Aswan's early morning. Experience the first sailing time at Kom Ombo.

The visit to the Kom Ombo Temple lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The temple is a rare double structure dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god of strength and fertility, and Horus the Elder (Haroeris), the falcon-headed god of protection and kingship. Each god had its entrance, halls, sanctuaries, and priests, side by side, designed as a mirror image—two identical halves.

The Cruise Sail to Edfu:

Relish a relaxing sailing to Edfu while having your lunch meal.

Spend a restful night at Edfu Shore and savor your dinner.

Meals Included:

  • Breakfast.
  • Lunch.
  • Dinner.
Day 3: Visit Edfu Temple & Sail to Luxor

Enjoy your breakfast on board the Nile Cruise, and meet your Egyptologist to start your visit to Edfu.

The visit to the Edfu Temple lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The Temple of Edfu is one of the best-preserved temples in all of Egypt—a massive, awe-inspiring structure. Vibrant reliefs depicting epic battles, rituals, and offerings cover the temple walls, giving the impression that the Egyptians are still alive. Marvel at its towering pylon (entrance gate), A huge open courtyard surrounded by columns, a hypostyle hall filled with massive stone pillars, and more.

Nile Cruise Sails to Luxor:

Set sail to Thebes, Luxor, now. It was a capital of ancient Egypt. Savor your lunch with the relaxing sailing, and experience crossing through Esna Lock.

Have a restful night on Luxor's shore with dinner.

Meals Included:

  • Breakfast.
  • Lunch.
  • Dinner.
Day 4: Embark on Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Colossi of Memnon, and Karnak Temple

Relish your cozy and refreshed morning amid the majesty of Thebes, have your breakfast on board the Nile Cruise, and check out. Take your AC seat in the modern vehicle, going ahead to Thebes Necropolis.

The visit to the Valley of the Kings lasts approximately 2 hours.

Welcome to the majesty of this secret necropolis, where pharaohs of the New Kingdom were buried in ornate underground tombs, surrounded by treasures and magic spells from the Book of the Dead, the Book of Gates, and the Nightly journey of the sun god Ra. It includes 60 tombs and you can visit up to three of the best ones listed on the main entry ticket.

The visit to the Hatshepsut Temple lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The Temple of Hatshepsut—also known as Deir el-Bahari—was built for Queen Hatshepsut and features a breathtaking facade carved into a high limestone cliff, consisting of three massive terraces, long ramps, beautiful colonnades, and statues.

The visit to the Colossi of Memnon lasts approximately 30 minutes.

Those massive statues have stood for more than 3,400 years, guarding the West Bank of Luxor and the largest mortuary temple in the Theban Necropolis. Each statue is about 18 meters (60 feet) tall and carved from single blocks of quartzite, representing Amenhotep III.

Lunchtime for around 1 hour and 30 minutes:

Have a restful time and savor a tasty lunch meal at a local restaurant.

The visit to the Karnak Temple lasts approximately 2 hours.

It is the largest religious structure ever built in the ancient world, considering it was the spiritual heart of ancient Egypt for nearly 2,000 years. It spans over 200 acres, including temples, chapels, sanctuaries, sacred lakes, sphinx-lined avenues, gigantic columns, and colossal statues. Explore its Great Hypostyle Hall with 134 massive stone columns, some over 20 meters tall.

Drop-off:

At the drop-off point you choose inside Luxor, we will accompany you by the AC vehicle.

I had an unforgettable overnight trip to the Sataya-Dolphin House. Great organization and easy communication. All of my wishes were taken into account and fulfilled. Thank's a lot!

Very kind and profesional people. In every trip that I went with them, all details were taking care of. Ashraf is the most knowledgeable tour guide that I ever met in my life. You will go on a trip and come back as friends. I highly recommend golavita Tours!

We arranged the tour a few weeks in advance before arriving in Egypt. Akram presented us with a complete private tour program, starting in Hurghada, visiting Cairo, the Black and White deserts, Alexandria and finally returning to Hurghada. Everything run smoothly, from the different drivers, who picked us up and dropped us off, always punctual and safe (especially Hamada, 'Medo'!) to the guides, in particular Reeham in Cairo who was just outstanding and Ahmed in the desert tour who welcomed us in his home together with his family before taking us and preparing our dinner in the desert! The overnight stays were all planned in great detail. It was definitely an incredible experience during these 4 days! A huge thank you to Akram!

Excellent private tour with a very knowledgeable , intelligent and tour guide. Ashraf went the extra mile to make sure our two day trip went smoothly and took us to all the best sites in Luxor. He also gave detailed interesting information throughout. He also has a fun character and was fun to talk to outside the tour!

The luxor 2 day trip was amazing. We have young children who struggled at times, but the guide and driver were fantastic. Everyone enjoyed the historical sites, and the hot air balloon ride was incredible. I would definitely recommend this trip and this company.

Great service. We had a wonderful time. Our guide Abdel Salam was very kind, spoke excellent English and shared his extensive knowledge with us. We had a private AC car. Visited most of the main sites in Cairo over two days. Would highly recommend.
