Itinerary

Day 1: Visit Aswan High Dam, Philae Temple, and Unfinished Obelisk

Relish a Smooth Pickup:

At the agreed-upon time, at the site you determine inside Aswan, we will be waiting for you. Meet your Egyptologist and ride the air-conditioned vehicle, going ahead to Aswan High Dam.

Aswan High Dam Visit:

The Aswan High Dam is a monumental engineering feat of the 20th century that controls the flow of the Nile, created Lake Nasser—the largest man-made lake in the world—and generates electricity. You can enjoy the lake and the Nile, which runs through the desert, offering unbelievable panoramic views.

This visit lasts around 1 hour and 30 minutes. By the air-conditioned vehicle, we arrive at the Philae port.

Philae Temple Visit:

Take a relaxing motorboat ride to Agilkia Island, where Philae Temple is located. The temple appears dramatically as you are in the heart of the Nile. It is the center of ancient magic and myth, dedicated to the goddess Isis, the protector of motherhood, magic, and healing.

This visit lasts around 1 hour and 30 minutes. By the air-conditioned vehicle, we arrive at the Unfinished Obelisk.

Unfinished Obelisk Visit:

Arrive at this ancient Aswan stone quarry, meeting this massive granite obelisk with an estimated height of 42 meters (138 feet) and a weight of 1,200 tons; it is the largest globally made obelisk—mostly made for Hatshepsut. It gives an extraordinary view of ancient tool marks, techniques, and methods in constructing the obelisks.

Go ahead to the Nile Cruise to check in and relax on board the ship while relishing your delicious lunch meal.

Have a restful night with dinner while the Nile Cruise docks in Aswan.

Meals Included:

Lunch and dinner.

Day 2: Sail to Kom Ombo and Edfu

Enjoy a fresh morning amid the alluring nature of Aswan while enjoying your breakfast. Experience the seamless and peaceful sailing to Kom Ombo, standing in front of the temple. With the accompaniment of your Egyptologist, go ahead to Kom Ombo Temple.

Kom Ombo Temple Visit:

Kom Ombo is dedicated to two gods, divided into two entrances, two halls, and two sanctuaries—everything duplicated side by side to be the only temple in ancient Egypt with this design. One of the temple’s walls features carvings of surgical instruments, medical tools, and scenes of healing. This provides insight into how medicine was practiced in ancient Egypt.

The visit lasts around 1 hour and 30 minutes. Return back to the Nile Cruise.

The Nile Cruise Sails to Edfu:

Experience another sailing journey to Edfu Temple while relishing your lunch meal.

The Nile Cruise docks on the Edfu shore; have a peaceful night with dinner.

Meals Included:

Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 3: Explore Edfu Temple and Sail to Luxor

Enjoy your breakfast meal on the cruise board while receiving fresh breezes from the Nile, relishing wonderful views. Meet your Egyptologist and be ready for a non-repeatable experience on this day tour.

Edfu Temple Visit:

Enjoy a 7- to 10-minute ride in a horse-drawn carriage that will take you to Edfu Temple—the Temple of Horus— which is the most well-preserved temple in ancient Egypt. Explore the temple's massive pylon entrance, where a black granite falcon statue guards it; walk through a grand hall with beautifully carved columns, ceilings, and walls full of hieroglyphs and religious scenes in the hypostyle hall and inner chambers.

The visit lasts around 1 hour and 30 minutes. Return back to the Nile Cruise.

The Nile Cruise Sails to Luxor:

Have a relaxing sailing tour to Thebes, Luxor, now, while relishing your lunch meal.

The Nile Cruise arrives at Thebes Bank, docking on the shore of this ancient Egypt's capital. Have a restful night with dinner.

Meals Included:

Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 4: Visit the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Colossi of Memnon, and Karnak Temple

Relish your morning with breakfast and say goodbye to the professional crew on board the Farah Nile Cruise.

With your Egyptologist, ride the air-conditioned vehicle, going ahead to the Thebes Necropolis.

Valley of the Kings Visit:

It is the burial site for the New Kingdom kings (c. 1550–1070 BCE), including around 60 of the royal tombs, teeming with vibrant inscriptions carrying all the mysteries about the afterlife beliefs of the ancient Egyptians, including The Book of the Dead, instructions for navigating the afterlife; the Book of Gates, which describes the journey through 12 gates of the underworld; the Book of Caverns, which focuses on the sun god's journey and defeating enemies in the afterlife; the Book of the Heavenly Cow; the Amduat (Book of What is in the Underworld); and even more.

On the main entrance ticket, you can visit up to three of the best tombs.

The visit takes around 2 hours. Go ahead to Hatshepsut Temple with your Egyptologist by the AC vehicle.

Hatshepsut Temple Visit:

The Temple of Hatshepsut—also known as Deir el-Bahari—was built by Hatshepsut, who was the only woman pharaoh in history and ruled ancient Egypt successfully around 1479–1458 BCE during the 18th Dynasty. This temple has a unique façade carved harmonically into three terraces with giant columns in the Thebes cliff.

The visit takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes. Go ahead to the Colossi of Memnon with your Egyptologist by the AC vehicle.

Colossi of Memnon Visit:

Meet those two seated statues, each about 18 meters (60 feet) tall, carved from blocks of quartzite sandstone, dedicated to Pharaoh Amenhotep III (ruled c. 1386–1349 BCE) of the 18th Dynasty, adorning its largest mortuary temple in Thebes Necropolis. Take unbelievable photos in front of those massive statues.

The visit takes around 30 minutes. Go ahead to a local restaurant.

Lunchtime:

At a local restaurant, savor a delicious lunch meal that reflects a  side of the rich culture of Egypt.

Karnak Temple Visit:

It is the grandest and most complex ancient religious sites in the world. It’s not a single temple but rather a sprawling precinct of sanctuaries, pylons, avenues, and sacred lakes covering over 200 acres, built over 2000 years. This site is dedicated primarily to Amun-Ra, the king of the gods during the New Kingdom, along with his consort Mut and their son Khonsu, who together form the Theban Triad.

The visit takes around 2 hours, and at the drop-off point you select in Luxor, we arrive you up in the air-conditioned vehicle.

Meals Included:

Breakfast and lunch.

Great private tour to see desert and abandoned Roman ruins. Excellent service. We had private jeep, driver and tour guide. Amazing adventure, more than we expected. I strongly recommend this service. They can take you to some cool and unknown places far from main routes. Thank you for the amazing time!

We had booked airport transfers from Hurgada airport to our resort in May 2022 and our experience was excellent. What sets this company apart was the responsive service we got through WhatsApp messaging. You may not be aware of this but meeting a taxi driver at airport is not so easy or obvious as the security personnel does not allow drivers in or even standing by the entrance. It all was resolved easily by WhatsApp communication. I cannot overstate how important is having a rapid response when something does not go as you would expect. Thank you Ashraf. I am aware this company does much more than airport transfers: while I did not use any during my stay, I wouldnot hesitate to recommend this organisation to plan for your excursion needsin Hurghada. Update April 2023: Used them again for this trip booking through Hoppa, same excellent service.

We had a great quad bike ride in the afternoon. The guide had a great energy and humor that made the tour extra good. On the way to the tour we had a driver that shouldn't be driving tourist, but when we told it to the company they gave us a another driver that drove perfect so we could relax in the car. That's a good and professional way of handling a problem. We can recommend this company.

Where do I start!!! A massive thankyou to Mr Akram and his team for creating amazing excursions giving you memorable experiences. Right from the beginning, communication with Mr Akram was so professional, he attends to all your needs by listening to what it is you want to get out of your excursions and creates these amazing moments of a life time, all with the great connections he has. Nothing is too much of a hassle for Mr Akram, he answered all my questions thoroughly before I arrived. Mr Akram showed me and my friend Hurghada City and bought us drinks, which was a lovely gesture for getting to know each other. We went on two excursions whilst we were in Hurghada, one to Cairo and the other Luxor. Our hired car was very modern, clean and had AC, which gave us a great first impression. A big shout out to our driver Hamada- what an amazing job he does, not enough credit is given. He drove so professionally and made us feel safe the entire time we were in his company. A big shout out to Mushy our tour guide, what vast information she holds, absolutely amazing with great historical knowledge. She really gives you detailed information and takes her time explaining the finer details to you. Overall our whole experience was amazing, many laughs along the way, many memories to treasure. Nothing is too much hassle for these lovely people, Mr Akram always made sure we were ok and enjoyed our experiences by checking in on us. Drinks were always topped up ensuring we were hydrated all the time whilst on our tours. If your thinking of booking with Palma tours, don't think just book, you will not regret it, right from the first communication you make with Mr Akram, things run so smoothly that's its literally stress free for when you arrive. I can't thank Mr Akram, Hamada and Mushy enough, these three deserve well over 5 stars, and I'm already looking at my next trip for next year and I'm 1000% booking with yourselves again and Mushy and Hamada you'll be the people I'll be looking to hire again. Much love from Jill and Sobia (UK)
