Day 1: Embark on Aswan Attractions

Pick-up Time:

Our Egyptologist meets you on time at the site you selected in Aswan, such as the train station, airport, or hotel. Take your seat in the air-conditioned vehicle to go ahead to the first stop.

Aswan High Dam Visit:

It is the engineering marvel of the 20th century that tamed the mighty Nile and transformed Egypt’s agricultural landscape, the Aswan High Dam. You can also see the largest-globe lake, Lake Nasser.

The visit lasts up to 45 minutes—go ahead to the second visit, Philae Temple.

 Philae Temple Visit:

From the Philae port, relish a relaxing sailing to Philae Temple by motorboat, arriving at the Aglika Island, where this temple takes you to the Ptolemaic dynasty (305–30 BCE). Archaeologists refer to it as the jewel of ancient Egypt's temples.

The visit extends to around 1 hour and 30 minutes—go ahead to the third visit,  Unfinished Obelisk.

Unfinished Obelisk Visit:

Ancient Egyptians used this northern quarry to extract the red granite. This site features the largest obelisk in the world lying on the land; uncover the reason for its incompleteness with your Egyptologist.

The visit extends to around 1 hour or less—go ahead to the Nile Cruise.

Nile Cruise Check-in:

Enjoy the warm welcome from the Nile Cruise crew. On the Deluxe Nile Cruise Blue Shadow I board, relish the top-tasty local Egyptian dishes to be your lunch meal.

Have a restful night with dinner on the cruise while docking on Aswan's bank.

Day 2: Sail to Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples

Enjoy your breakfast amid the fresh atmosphere of the Nile and relish the first experience of sailing with the Nile Cruise. You arrive at the Kom Ombo city in front of the temple.

Kom Ombo Temple Visit:

It is the only double-designed temple, dedicated to two sets of gods, Sobek - the crocodile god—and Horus - the falcon god. Each side has its entrances, hypostyle halls, sanctuaries, and chapels.

The visit extends to around 1 hour and 15 minutes—go back to the Nile Cruise.

Experience another perfectly prepared lunch meal rich with flavors.

The sailing concludes at Edfu City, where the cruise will dock. Relish your restful night with a dinner meal.

Day 3: Visit Edfu Temple & Sail to Luxor

Enjoy your breakfast on the cruise board, and be ready for a unique experience on this day tour to Edfu Temple.

Edfu Temple Visit:

Experience riding a horse carriage, arriving at the Edfu Temple, dedicated to Horus, which is the most well-preserved temple in ancient Egypt. This temple was built in 237 BCE–57 BCE, during the Ptolemaic Dynasty.

The visit lasts from 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours—go back to the Nile Cruise.

Nile Cruise Sailing to Luxor:

Enjoy the restful sailing to Luxor with a lunch meal, crossing through Esna Lock.

Dock on the Luxor's bank and relish your dinner meal on this relaxing night.

Meals:

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 4: Explore Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Colossi of Memnon and Karnak Temple

Savor your delicious breakfast on the cruise deck, and then check out to begin your Luxor day tour with your Egyptologist by the AC modern vehicle.

Valley of the Kings Visit:

Take an electric car from the entrance to the majesty of the royal burial ground of the New Kingdom pharaohs (18th–20th Dynasties, ~1550–1070 BCE); you can visit up to 3 royal tombs from the opened ones on the main ticket.

Hatshepsut Temple:

It is a terraced structure carved in the Deir El Bahari cliff that honors Queen Hatshepsut, one of the few women to rule Egypt as pharaoh in the 18th Dynasty (~1479–1458 BCE). Explore her divine birth and expedition to Punt.

Colossi of Memnon:

They are those two massive stone statues, each about 18 meters (60 feet), representing Amenhotep III adorning the largest mortuary temple in the Thebes Necropolis.

At a local restaurant, relish your lunch rich with flavors that reflect a unique side of Egypt's culture.

Karnak Temple:

It is the largest religious complex in the world and was the central site of worship for over 2,000 years in ancient Egypt, built by more than 100 kings and queens and dedicated to the Theban Triad (Amun, Mut, and Khonsu), including the largest hypostyle hall in the world with more than 134 columns.

We booked a tour with Golavita, Mr Akram was very quick to respond to our questions and checked in with us daily to see how the tour was going. Waleed, the tour guide, was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The bottles of water to keep us hydrated was also a very nice addition. The private transport was top class, modern air conditioned vehicles and friendly and helpful drivers.

We arranged the tour a few weeks in advance before arriving in Egypt. Akram presented us with a complete private tour program, starting in Hurghada, visiting Cairo, the Black and White deserts, Alexandria and finally returning to Hurghada. Everything run smoothly, from the different drivers, who picked us up and dropped us off, always punctual and safe (especially Hamada, 'Medo'!) to the guides, in particular Reeham in Cairo who was just outstanding and Ahmed in the desert tour who welcomed us in his home together with his family before taking us and preparing our dinner in the desert! The overnight stays were all planned in great detail. It was definitely an incredible experience during these 4 days! A huge thank you to Akram!

The luxor 2 day trip was amazing. We have young children who struggled at times, but the guide and driver were fantastic. Everyone enjoyed the historical sites, and the hot air balloon ride was incredible. I would definitely recommend this trip and this company.
