Alabaster Mosque is a piece of jewelry that shines at the highest point at the Citadel of Saladin. Muhammad Ali who built it in 1848 AD. That is why it is named the Mosque of Muhammed Ali. The name Alabaster Mosque is because of the marble paneling on its interior and exterior walls. 

The Mosque of Muhammad Ali Architecture

Inside Alabaster Mosque, you wander through the time of the Muhamed Ali and Turkish ruling eras. You will wander amid colorful, vibrant inscriptions of the historical Ottoman style. That charming architecture is accompanied by the gigantic, sparkling, rich chandelier, as well as huge, gilded pendants, and other abundant decorations. Among this dazzle the majestic history flows. Your feet will touch tiles made of alabaster dating back to 1848 AD. 

The copper doors take you to a charming white marble world that is full of rich, colorful inscriptions. A giant copper door takes you to an open court and prayer hall. The prayer hall is a square space where you can find a large, charming central dome surrounded by four semi-domes and four shallow domes in the corners.

There are two minibars (pulpits) inside the mosque made of wood decorated in green.  

The outer open court contains a copper clock tower,  you will walk amid cooper and gilded inscriptions.

Each inch in Muhammed Ali Mosque takes you to the charm of the rich decorations and colorful great architecture, plus the evidence of each historical event to live the wonders of history amid shiny amazing ottoman styles of decorations and architecture.
