Aswan High Dam Facts
In a special nature, you find yourself amid a dam 111 m tall, 3.5 km in length, about 1km wide, and 43 million cubic meters in size. The base width is 980 meters, and the width of the top is 40 meters. The Egyptians powerfully and defiantly built this gigantic dam. It is made of cement, iron, and other materials.
As the air caresses you there, you take in the view of the goodness, the farms, and the charming green lands. From this point, you will get to know, “Why was this dam built?!”
Why was it built?!
The dam has increased the area of agricultural land in Egypt from 5.5 to 7.9 million acres, and cultivated crops more as a result of water availability.
