Itinerary

Day 1: Pickup & Visit Aswan High Dam, Philae Temple, and Unfinished Obelisk—Nile Cruise Check-in

Meet your Egyptologist at the agreed time and at the site you selected in Aswan (Aswan train station/airport/bus station/a hotel), and via the AC modern vehicle, start your day tour in Aswan.

Visit Aswan High Dam for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

It is the most massive world earth-fill embankment dam, considering one of the 20th-century marvels that created the largest man-made lake in the world, Lake Nasser. Enjoy the Nile's desert view and the temples' magical appearance.

By the AC vehicle, we proceed to Philae Port.

Visit Philae Temple for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Sail to this temple by motorboat from Philae Port, arriving at Agilkia Island. Philae Temple appears while you are on the Nile as a breathtaking dream.

Explore the home of Isis, the Temple of Hathor, the Kiosk of Trajan (a beautiful Roman pavilion), and the Temple of Horus and Harendotes, besides Small chapels, shrines, and Roman gates.

Sail back to the port, and take the AC vehicle to the Unfinished Obelisk.

Visit the Unfinished Obelisk for 45 minutes.

It is the largest obelisk ever attempted, dedicated to Hatshepsut. This obelisk, still lying in its original bed of granite in an ancient quarry in Aswan, unveils one of the ancient Egyptian secrets in architecture, especially the tools of the ancient Egyptian engineers that are still on this obelisk board. Explore how the obelisks were quarried, shaped, and then transported.

Take your seat in the air-conditioned vehicle, going ahead to the Nile Cruise.

Nile Cruise Check-in:

Relish the warm welcome from the Zeina Nile Cruise crew, and savor a lunch made by professional chefs.

A refreshed morning with the Nile breezes and view awaits you; relish your breakfast, and experience the first sailing to Kom Ombo.

With your Egyptologist, go ahead to Kom Ombo Temple.

Visit Kom Ombo Temple for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

This temple is located near a bend of the Nile that was crocodile-infested, which gave rise to the cult of the crocodile god, Sobek. The ancient Egyptians embodied the freedom of worship in this temple, designing it with double-faced architecture to worship Horus alongside Sobek.

Return back to the Nile Cruise.

Nile Cruise Sails to Edfu:

Spend a relaxing time while sailing to Edfu with a lovely lunch meal.

The Nile Cruise docks on the Edfu shore; relish a restful night with dinner.

You arrive at the most well-preserved temple in ancient Egypt, which features a massive pylon entrance, Peristyle courtyard, Hypostyle halls, and Sanctuary housing the sacred barque of Horus, all their walls covered with detailed, vivid carvings showing mythological stories, including the battle between Horus and Seth (symbolizing good vs. evil), daily rituals and temple ceremonies.

Return back to the Nile Cruise by a horse carriage.

Nile Cruise Sails to Luxor, Thebes, the capital of ancient Egypt.

Relish your sailing tour, crossing through Esna Lock while relishing your lunch.

Meals Included:

  • Breakfast.
  • Lunch.
  • Dinner.

Day 4: Embark on Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Colossi of Memnon, and Karnak Temple

It is located on the west bank of the Nile, filled with pharaonic spells, and includes around 60 royal tombs dedicated to the great pharaohs of the New Kingdom (18th–20th Dynasties, c. 1550–1070 BCE).

You can visit up to 3 tombs from those available on the main entrance ticket. The rest of the tombs are available also with extra fees not included in the tour charge, but we can help you in booking these extra fees.

Proceed to the Hatshepsut Temple by the AC vehicle.

Visit the Hatshepsut Temple for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

A stunning mortuary temple built for Queen Hatshepsut, the only successful pharaoh as a woman in ancient Egypt. She made a unique temple with a rare, breathtaking facade carved into the limestone cliffs behind, rising into three massive terraced stages that blend.

Proceed to the Colossi of Memnon by the AC vehicle.

Visit the Colossi of Memnon for 45 minutes.

Each statue is about 18 meters (60 feet) tall and weighs around 720 tons, representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III of the 18th Dynasty seated on the throne. They stood at the entrance of Amenhotep III’s mortuary temple, which was one of the largest temples ever built in Egypt.

Proceed to a local restaurant.

Lunchtime:

Savor a tasty Egyptian cuisine rich with local flavors.

We booked a tour with Golavita, Mr Akram was very quick to respond to our questions and checked in with us daily to see how the tour was going.Waleed, the tour guide, was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Where do I start!!! A massive thankyou to Mr Akram and his team for creating amazing excursions giving you memorable experiences. Right from the beginning, communication with Mr Akram was so professional, he attends to all your needs by listening to what it is you want to get out of your excursions and creates these amazing moments of a life time, all with the great connections he has. Nothing is too much of a hassle for Mr Akram, he answered all my questions thoroughly before I arrived. Mr Akram showed me and my friend Hurghada City and bought us drinks, which was a lovely gesture for getting to know each other. We went on two excursions whilst we were in Hurghada, one to Cairo and the other Luxor. Our hired car was very modern, clean and had AC, which gave us a great first impression. A big shout out to our driver Hamada- what an amazing job he does, not enough credit is given. He drove so professionally and made us feel safe the entire time we were in his company. A big shout out to Mushy our tour guide, what vast information she holds, absolutely amazing with great historical knowledge. She really gives you detailed information and takes her time explaining the finer details to you. Overall our whole experience was amazing, many laughs along the way, many memories to treasure. Nothing is too much hassle for these lovely people, Mr Akram always made sure we were ok and enjoyed our experiences by checking in on us. Drinks were always topped up ensuring we were hydrated all the time whilst on our tours. If your thinking of booking with Palma tours, don't think just book, you will not regret it, right from the first communication you make with Mr Akram, things run so smoothly that's its literally stress free for when you arrive. I can't thank Mr Akram, Hamada and Mushy enough, these three deserve well over 5 stars, and I'm already looking at my next trip for next year and I'm 1000% booking with yourselves again and Mushy and Hamada you'll be the people I'll be looking to hire again. Much love from Jill and Sobia (UK)

We had an exceptional and one of the best trips with family friends on Dahabiya, Nile cruise covering gems of Egypt - Aswaan and Luxor. The trip was beautifully planned by Go Lavita. I highly recommend them. From the initial planning stage to the final day, everything was handled with professionalism, care, and customized to our needs and wants. They were constantly available and took into consideration all our requests as a big group. The staff, tour guide, all operators we met were warm and professional. Dahalbiya itself was elegant and very well maintained. The itinerary was very well curated. This dahabiya cruise was the highlight of our Egypt trip, combining luxury, authenticity, and cultural depth. We highly recommend Go Lavita to anyone seeking a personalized and unforgettable Nile experience.

We arranged the tour a few weeks in advance before arriving in Egypt. Akram presented us with a complete private tour program, starting in Hurghada, visiting Cairo, the Black and White deserts, Alexandria and finally returning to Hurghada. Everything run smoothly, from the different drivers, who picked us up and dropped us off, always punctual and safe (especially Hamada, 'Medo'!) to the guides, in particular Reeham in Cairo who was just outstanding and Ahmed in the desert tour who welcomed us in his home together with his family before taking us and preparing our dinner in the desert! The overnight stays were all planned in great detail. It was definitely an incredible experience during these 4 days! A huge thank you to Akram!
