Day-by-Day Egypt Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Travel to Siwa & Visit the Mountain of the Dead, the Oracle Temple, Salty Lake, Cleopatra's Bath, Amun Temple, and Shali Fortress

Have a smooth pickup service with your boxed breakfast prepared by the hotel; take your seat in the AC vehicle, traveling to Siwa Oasis with 2 stops for breaks.

Arrive at the Mountain of the Dead in Siwa:

It is also known as Gebel al-Mawta, including tombs with vibrant inscriptions dating back to the Greco-Roman era from the 26th Dynasty. Visit the Tomb of Si-Amun, the Tomb of Mesu-Isis, and the Crocodile Tomb.

Proceed to Alexander the Great Temple (the Oracle Temple):

It is where Alexander journeyed across the harsh desert to consult the oracle in 332 BCE—this temple was a revered divine sanctuary of Amunو attracting the pharaohs, generals, and foreign dignitaries seeking divine counsel on wars, leadership, and destiny.

We Drive to the Salty Lake:

This experience is deeply peaceful, softening both body and mind as you float on the water while the healing salt formations carry you effortlessly—just float and relax.

Relax in Cleopatra's Bath:

Cleopatra’s Bath, also known as Ain Juba or the “Spring of the Sun,” is one of Siwa’s most charming natural springs—it feeds a circular stone pool with 29 °C mineral-rich crystal-clear water. It is where Cleopatra took her bath.

Proceed to Amun Temple:

Built during the 26th Dynasty (664–525 BCE), the temple became a revered center of prophecy and spiritual guidance across the Mediterranean—Herodotus equated its importance to the Oracle at Delphi in Greece.

Go Ahead to the Great Sand Sea by Jeep 4x4:

Thrill to launching through the sand dunes in the Great Sand Sea and relish the best experience of sandboarding.

Visit the hot and cold spring of Bir Waheed, where you can enjoy dazzling sunset views along with traditional Bedouin tea.

Savor a BBQ dinner prepared the traditional Bedouin way in the Ghaliet Ecolodge that is located at Amoun Temple, where you spend an unforgettable overnight amid a dazzling natural atmosphere.

  • Meals Included: Lunch and Dinner.

Day 2: Travel to Marsa Matrouh & Arrive at Bahariya Oasis

After relishing your breakfast at the hotel, start this day experience.

Visit Shali Fortress:

Built in the 12th–13th century using kershef—a mix of salt, mud, and rock. Once home to hundreds, Shali featured dwellings, a mosque, communal wells, and artisan shops. Climbing to the highest levels rewards you with sweeping views over Siwa’s palms, salt lakes, and the surrounding desert.

Travel to Marsa Matrouh:

Meet pure beaches over the Mediterranean Sea with white sand and blue-crystal water.

Enjoy having a fresh-cooked lunch, and proceed to Bahariya Oasis, crossing through natural marvels.

Spend Your Night at Baharyia Oasis:

Have a restful night at your camp with dinner.

  • Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Visit the black desert, El Haize Oasis, Crystal Mountain, Valley of Agabat, and White Desert

Relish a meditation time amid the pure nature of the Bahariya Oasis, and after breakfast, take your seat in the Jeep 4x4 with the local guide and your tour guide, arriving at the Black Desert.

Marvel at the Black Desert:

The Black Desert features dark volcanic hills, fossils, and sweeping desert plains that are covered by the black powder of the volcano, creating a spectacular geological landscape.

Visit the El Haize Oasis:

Bordered by the dramatic Black Desert—a hidden gem of Egypt’s Western Desert—it includes the ruins of an ancient Roman fortress, and it is filled with palm groves and fed by natural springs.

Explore the Crystal Mountain:

The ridge is encrusted with calcite and barite crystals that catch the light—sparkling like a crown of gems across the desert.

Embark on the Valley of Agabat:

It is an ocean floor that dried and is nestled between the Bahariya and Farafra oases—a surreal landscape where white cliffs, sandstone pillars, and golden dunes meet.

Visit the White Desert:

It is a surreal world of frost-white chalk formations sculpted by wind and time; take unrepeatable photos amid millions of years old formations, including mushroom rocks, pillars, and arches that glow like otherworldly sculptures.

Lunch:

Savor a Local Beduin Lunch at a Bedouin house—it is one of the best meals you can experience in Egypt.

We had booked airport transfers from Hurgada airport to our resort in May 2022 and our experience was excellent. What sets this company apart was the responsive service we got through WhatsApp messaging. You may not be aware of this but meeting a taxi driver at airport is not so easy or obvious as the security personnel does not allow drivers in or even standing by the entrance. It all was resolved easily by WhatsApp communication. I cannot overstate how important is having a rapid response when something does not go as you would expect. Thank you Ashraf. I am aware this company does much more than airport transfers: while I did not use any during my stay, I wouldnot hesitate to recommend this organisation to plan for your excursion needsin Hurghada.Update April 2023: Used them again for this trip booking through Hoppa, same excellent service.
