Join us for a 3-night trip from Aswan to Luxor on the Mahrosa Dahabiya Cruise. This is a special way to see the Nile, offering a quiet and personal experience. The Dahabiya, a traditional sailing vessel without an engine and designed for a limited number of guests, ensures a peaceful trip. You can relax on the sun deck and watch the scenery go by in a calm atmosphere.
This tour takes you to the most important sites in Aswan and Luxor. Our crew provides personal attention, and you’ll stay in comfortable cabins with large windows looking out onto the Nile. All your meals are freshly made on board. This trip is a wonderful choice for anyone looking for a relaxing and beautiful tour of the Nile.
The tour starts when we pick you up in Aswan. Your private guide will meet you and take you to the first stop, the Aswan High Dam, a major modern dam with outstanding views of Lake Nasser. From there, a motorboat will take you to the Philae Temple on Agilkia Island. The day's tour in Aswan ends at the Unfinished Obelisk, which shows how ancient workers carved these massive stone pillars.
After your tour, you'll be welcomed onto the Mahrosa Dahabiya for a freshly prepared lunch. The rest of the evening is for relaxing, with dinner served on board while docked in Aswan.
After an early breakfast, you'll travel to the famous Abu Simbel Temples. The four large statues of Ramses II at the entrance are one of Egypt’s most impressive sights. You will also get to see the nearby temple for Queen Nefertari.
You'll return to the Mahrosa for lunch as we begin our relaxing sail toward Kom Ombo. When we arrive, you'll visit the Kom Ombo Temple, which is unique because it's dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon-headed god. We then continue sailing toward Edfu for the night.
This morning, you'll take a horse-drawn carriage to the well-preserved Edfu Temple. Dedicated to the god Horus, it's a great example of a classic Egyptian temple.
Back on the boat, you'll have lunch as the Mahrosa crosses the Esna Lock on its way to Luxor. We will dock for the night on the shore of Luxor, where you'll have dinner.
On your last day, you'll explore the famous sites of Luxor. After breakfast, you'll go to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, where many pharaohs were buried. Your ticket includes entry to three different tombs. Thereafter, you'll visit the multi-level Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and stop for photos at the Colossi of Memnon.
You'll have lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the East Bank. There, you'll see the huge Karnak Temple, the largest religious site ever built. Your tour ends here, and we will drop you off at your chosen location in Luxor.
