Itinerary

Day 1: Travel to Siwa & Visit the Oracle Temple, Salty Lake, Cleopatra's Bath, Amun temple, and Great Sand Sea

Smooth Pickup from your hotel in Cairo:

We arrive at the agreed time when booking, taking your boxed breakfast. Enjoy a cozy transfer to Swia by AC door-to-door transportation with 2 stops for coffee breaks and breakfast.

Arrive at the Temple of the Oracle (Alexander the Great Temple):

This temple dates back to the 26th Dynasty of Egypt (around the 6th century BC)—it is where Alexander the Great announced his divine birth.

Visit the Salt Lake:

The water is so salty, which makes you float effortlessly, just like in the Dead Sea—no swimming skills needed.

Enjoy Visiting Cleopatra's Bath:

Queen Cleopatra herself bathed here while visiting Siwa—It’s a natural hot spring that bubbles up into a large, stone-lined circular pool, while the crystal-clear water flows continuously.

Explore Umm Ubaydah Temple (Amun Temple):

It was constructed during the 30th Dynasty (around 360 BC) by Pharaoh Nectanebo II, who was the last native ruler of ancient Egypt, and dedicated to the ancient god, Amun.

Savor a tasty restaurant at Abdo restaurant, experiencing the delicious traditional Siwan food.

Go Ahead to the Great Sand Sea & Visit the hot and Cold spring Bir Waheed:

Discover the Great Sand Sea, and launch through the sand dunes by Jeep 4x4, where you experience unique sandboarding—the best site for sandboarding in Egypt.

Relish the hot and Cold spring of Bir Waheed with the sunset, having an amazing tea made by the traditional way.

Spend a comfortable overnight in the Ghaliet Ecolodge with dinner—this hotel has been built by nature and designed among palm trees, where you feel unbelievable relaxation.

Meals:

Lunch and Dinner.

Day 2: Visit the Shali Fortress and the Mountain of the Dead—Travel Back to Cairo

Relish your organic tasty breakfast, and with your tour guide, start this day tour by the AC vehicle.

Visit the Shali Fortress:

It was built around 1203 AD with kershef, a traditional Siwan material made of salt, mud, and clay, by the Siwan Berbers to protect themselves from invaders.

Proceed to the Mountain of the Dead:

This mountain is filled with hundreds of tombs carved into the limestone with vibrant inscriptions, serving from the 26th Dynasty to the Roman and Ptolemaic periods.

Travel to Marsa Matrouh:

Spend a peaceful time amid the unique nature of Marsa Matrouh with dazzling white sandy beach and blue crystal water.

Savor a delicious fresh-cooked Lunch.

Go ahead back to Cairo for a smooth drop-off at your hotel.

Meals:

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

The luxor 2 day trip was amazing. We have young children who struggled at times, but the guide and driver were fantastic. Everyone enjoyed the historical sites, and the hot air balloon ride was incredible. I would definitely recommend this trip and this company.

Great private tour to see desert and abandoned Roman ruins. Excellent service. We had private jeep, driver and tour guide. Amazing adventure, more than we expected. I strongly recommend this service. They can take you to some cool and unknown places far from main routes. Thank you for the amazing time!

We arranged the tour a few weeks in advance before arriving in Egypt. Akram presented us with a complete private tour program, starting in Hurghada, visiting Cairo, the Black and White deserts, Alexandria and finally returning to Hurghada. Everything run smoothly, from the different drivers, who picked us up and dropped us off, always punctual and safe (especially Hamada, 'Medo'!) to the guides, in particular Reeham in Cairo who was just outstanding and Ahmed in the desert tour who welcomed us in his home together with his family before taking us and preparing our dinner in the desert! The overnight stays were all planned in great detail. It was definitely an incredible experience during these 4 days! A huge thank you to Akram!

Excellent private tour with a very knowledgeable , intelligent and tour guide. Ashraf went the extra mile to make sure our two day trip went smoothly and took us to all the best sites in Luxor. He also gave detailed interesting information throughout. He also has a fun character and was fun to talk to outside the tour!

Great service. We had a wonderful time. Our guide Abdel Salam was very kind, spoke excellent English and shared his extensive knowledge with us. We had a private AC car. Visited most of the main sites in Cairo over two days. Would highly recommend.

Great experience from the start to finish. Golavita excelled on all fronts from good customer service, customer care and eager to provide customer excellence. They organised a simple, cost effective and efficient service with their Luxor trip package. The van was almost brand new, great drivers, couple stops for refreshments and got us bang on time to Luxor. It was a 12 seater van with just 8 tourists leaving plenty of space for everyone to stretch and be comfortable. I have long legs and so I had requested specific seats which was booked for me in advance and I didn't get any hassle by drivers or other co passengers. The guide was Sherriff and I really really enjoyed the way he delivered the site seeing experience. Sheriff spoke fluent in English and with a Masters in Egyptology and 4 decades of experience there couldn't have been a better guide. I highly recommend Sherriff as a guide and Islam and Ahmed as the drivers of fellow Brits tourists.Above all I want to thank Golavita for organising this incredible journey.
