Itinerary

Day 1: Travel to Alexandria & Visit Catacomb of Kom el Shoqafa, Pompey Pillar, Qaitbay Citadel, and Bibliotheca Alexandrina

Smooth Pickup from your hotel in Cairo:

Take your seat in the AC vehicle, and enjoy a 2- to 3-hour driving tour to Alexandria with your tour guide. Have a cozy trip, arriving at this historical Roman and Greek City over the Mediterranean Sea to start your day tour.

Visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa:

It is the only burial site in ancient Egypt that blends pharaonic, Greek, and Roman architectural styles and inscriptions. Discover tombs, statues, and carvings that tell stories from over 1,900 years ago.

Proceed to Pompey’s Pillar:

It is a towering pillar, carved from a single block of red granite and standing 26.85 meters high. This, Egypt’s tallest ancient column, is located beside the Serapeum, a once-grand temple dedicated to the Greco-Egyptian god Serapis.

Marvel at the Citadel of Sultan Qeitbay:

The majestic 15th-century fortress, which has stood proudly on the edge of the Mediterranean since 1477 AD during the Mamluk era and was built by Sultan Qaitbay, combines Islamic military architecture with breathtaking sea views.

Lunchtime:

Savor a tasty lunch meal with the amazing view of the Alexandria Sea.

Discover the Bibliotheca Alexandrina:

This gigantic library revives the spirit of the ancient Library of Alexandria, once the greatest center of learning in the ancient world. It includes manual scripts by the original scientists and Great philosophers as well as maps of the ancient world.

Embark on Al Montazh Palace:

The palace complex was once a summer retreat for the Egyptian royal family, built by Khedive Abbas II in the early 20th century, located on a high cliff overlooking the Mediterranean.

Have a restful night at a respectable hotel in Alexandria.

Meals Included:

Lunch.

Day 2: Travel to El Alamein and visit the El Alamein Museum, El Alamein War Cemetery, and the German and Italian War Memorial. Arrive at Siwa

After breakfast, your tour guide accompanies you from the hotel lobby in Alexandria to start your day tour, traveling to El Alamein by the modern AC vehicle.

Arrive at El Alamein Museum:

Wander through five halls with an impressive collection of real war machinery used in the desert battles, including tanks, weapons, uniforms, and maps.

Explore El Alamein War Cemetery:

Walk among the rows of white headstones, many of which have touching inscriptions; it is where over 7,000 Allied soldiers are buried here, including British, Australian, New Zealand, South African, Indian, and other troops.

Visit the German War Memorial:

It is a solemn and beautifully designed site, honoring more than 4,800 German soldiers who died during the Battle of El Alamein in World War II.

Discover the Italian Memorial:

It is the largest and most beautiful World War II memorial, including over 5,000 Italian soldiers tombs, designed in classic Italian style, shaped like a tower with a circular design, central chapel, and quiet courtyards.

Travel to Siwa & Enjoy the Sunset at Fatnas Lake:

Relish a cozy traveling trip to Siwa Oasis, arriving at the Fatnas Lake—it's a hidden gem in Siwa, offering one of the most peaceful and magical sunset spots, surrounded by palm trees, salt flats, and desert sands.

There you can walk in the garden and see a variety of trees, including banana, date, and olive.

Spend a relaxing night at the hotel with the dinner.

Meals Included:

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 3: Visit Oracle Temple, Salty Lake, Cleopatra's Bath, Amun Temple, Great Sand Sea, and Bir Waheed Springs

After breakfast, go ahead with your tour guide to the best of Siwa's attractions.

Visit the Oracle Temple (Alexander the Great Temple):

It is one of the most mysterious sites in Egypt. In 331 BC, Alexander the Great traveled across the desert amid a strong wind to arrive there, consult the oracle, and confirm hisa rule over Egypt by announcing his divine birth.

Float in the Salty Lake:

The high salt concentration in this lake sets it apart. This salt concentration makes your body float on the surface without any effort, giving you a relaxing and fun experience unlike any regular swim.

Enjoy Visiting Cleopatra's Bath:

It is a circular pool fed by a natural spring that flows continuously, keeping the water cool, clean, and fresh—it is where Cleopatra took her bath while visiting Siwa. Take a royal bath here and experience a unique relaxation.

Explore Amun Temple:

This temple was established during the 26th Dynasty of Ancient Egypt, also known as the Saite Period (circa 664–525 BC), and dedicated to the god Amun. This temple once stood as a vital religious and political center in the Western Desert, where priests communicated with the gods.

Lunch at Great Sand Sea to savor a tasty traditional Siwan food.

Embark on the Great Sand Sea by Jeep 4x4:

Live the thrill of launching through the vast sand dunes over the Great Sand Sea that provide a unique sandboarding experience, arriving at hot and cold spring Bir Waheed to enjoy an unbelievable sunset while savoring traditional Bedouin tea.

Spend a restful night at your camp with dinner.

Meals Included:

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 4: Visit Shali Fort, the Mountain of the Dead, and Travel to Marsa Matrouh. Arrive back at Cairo

Enjoy your breakfast at the camp, and go ahead to Shali Fort.

It is a living museum that once housed the entire Siwan population inside its walls and was built in the 13th century from a unique salt-and-mud material called karshef.

Discover the Mountain of the Dead:

This mountain is filled with ancient tombs carved into the rock—where pharaonic, Greek, and Roman history come together in one mystical place teeming with vibrant, amazing inscriptions.

Ashraf was our Egyptian professional guide for a Czech small group planned "Sacred journey to the chacra temples of Egypt". As the title already says, not only were we using his incredible life experience of an egyptolog, tourist guide and organiser. We were also using his experience with the places themselves, which of the extra tickets are worth the money to visit the extra places, which of the villages and shops are fair and having good things. And of course all the historical stories linked to the places we visited with open mind to some new more alternative explanations of happenings too. The organisation of our trip from Hurghada, through Asuan, Luxor, Ghiza and back Hurghada is fully his expertise. Minivans, boat, train... He was always with us handling all to our happiness ❤️ Buying extra water, bananas or ordering better for stomach digestion food.

Excellent private tour with a very knowledgeable , intelligent and tour guide. Ashraf went the extra mile to make sure our two day trip went smoothly and took us to all the best sites in Luxor. He also gave detailed interesting information throughout. He also has a fun character and was fun to talk to outside the tour!

We went in the Safari and Paradise Island boat trip. Both were very well organised, great activities and the transfer made by driver was on time!I recommend especially the Paradise Island trip! The views on the island are amazing and the boat trip until there has such grest service on the boat (snorkeling, lunch, drinks).

Great private tour to see desert and abandoned Roman ruins. Excellent service. We had private jeep, driver and tour guide. Amazing adventure, more than we expected. I strongly recommend this service. They can take you to some cool and unknown places far from main routes. Thank you for the amazing time!

We had booked airport transfers from Hurgada airport to our resort in May 2022 and our experience was excellent. What sets this company apart was the responsive service we got through WhatsApp messaging. You may not be aware of this but meeting a taxi driver at airport is not so easy or obvious as the security personnel does not allow drivers in or even standing by the entrance. It all was resolved easily by WhatsApp communication. I cannot overstate how important is having a rapid response when something does not go as you would expect. Thank you Ashraf. I am aware this company does much more than airport transfers: while I did not use any during my stay, I wouldnot hesitate to recommend this organisation to plan for your excursion needsin Hurghada.Update April 2023: Used them again for this trip booking through Hoppa, same excellent service.
