Day Trip From Soma Bay to Cairo By Plane

Morning Transfer and Flight
In the morning, a private air-conditioned vehicle will pick you up from your Soma Bay hotel for the transfer to Hurghada Airport. The drive takes approximately 50 minutes. Exact flight times will be confirmed upon booking. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will meet your Egyptologist guide.

The Giza Pyramids Plateau
Proceed to the ticket office at the Giza Plateau. If you wish to enter the Great Pyramid (Khufu), please ask your guide to help you purchase the additional ticket, as this is not included in the general tour price.

The Great Pyramid and Satellite Pyramids
View the Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) and observe its alignment with the Orion constellation. Next to the main pyramid, you will see the three smaller "Satellite Pyramids" dedicated to Khufu's mother, wife, and daughter. You may enter the Queen's Pyramid (Khufu’s Mother) to view the interior structure (entry is free, subject to rotating schedules/except Fridays).

Mortuary Temple and Causeway
Visit the ruins of the Mortuary Temple, where purification rituals using holy oils took place before burial. You will also walk along the ancient Causeway, the path used to transport the King’s mummy to the tomb, and see the tombs of the Giza Builders.

Pyramid of Chephren and The Panorama
View the Pyramid of Chephren, distinctive for the original limestone cladding that remains at its peak. While all pyramids were originally covered in smooth stone, erosion has removed most of it over time. Proceed to the "Panorama" point, the highest elevation on the plateau, which offers a complete view of all six pyramids and the Sphinx together.

The Valley Temple and The Sphinx
Descend to the Valley Temple, the site historically used for the mummification process. Finally, stand before the Great Sphinx to view the colossal statue and learn about its history in ancient Egypt.

The Egyptian Museum
Visit the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir. The ground floor displays large-scale monuments, including massive statues and sarcophagi. The upper floor houses smaller treasures and rare items. The collection covers history from the Old, Middle, and New Kingdoms through to the Greek and Roman periods.

Lunch
Break for lunch at a local restaurant to enjoy traditional Egyptian cuisine and local flavors.

Islamic Cairo and El Moez Street
Drive to Old Cairo to view the historic city gates. You will enter through the Bab El Fotouh gate to explore the architecture of the Fatimid and Mamluk eras. Walk down El Moez Street to see landmarks such as the Al Hakim Mosque and the Qalawun complex, featuring Madrasas (schools) and Sabils (water houses) known for their intricate design.

Khan El Khalili and Departure
Conclude the tour at the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, a historic market area ideal for walking and shopping. Afterward, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Hurghada. A private vehicle will meet you upon arrival to drop you off at your hotel in Soma Bay.
