After experiencing this unforgettable cruising tour, check out at Esna Lock, which is one of the most distinctive and memorable events of any Nile cruise, and head towards Luxor via the modern AC vehicle.

On the West Bank, visit the tombs of pharaohs in the Valley of the Kings, admire the stunning architecture of the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and see the colossal Colossi of Memnon. Before leaving Thebes, the Capital of ancient Egypt, explore the monumental Karnak Temple Complex, which is the largest religious complex ever built.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arriving in Aswan and Discovering Key Sites

Welcome to Aswan. Your guide will meet you upon arrival, whether at the airport, train station, or hotel. You'll start the day exploring Aswan's top attractions.

Our first stop is the Aswan High Dam: witness a colossal, world-changing feat of 20th-century engineering, and Lake Nasser, one of the world's largest artificial lakes.

Proceed to Philae Port by the air-conditioned vehicle, taking a motorboat for a peaceful sailing to Agilkia Island to visit Philae Temple, a perfectly preserved, relocated Greco-Roman masterpiece, which is dedicated to the goddess Isis. This temple stands as a testament to the immense international effort to save ancient Egyptian history from the rising waters of the Aswan High Dam.

Next, enjoy your ride towards the Unfinished Obelisk, a colossal, discarded stone monument that provides a unique, hands-on insight into the ingenious techniques and sheer scale of ancient Egyptian quarrying and monumental construction.

It is the time for check-in at your Queen Nefer Dahabiya Nile Cruise, relishing the welcoming of its expert team, and taking your rest accompanied by a tasty lunch amid the unbelievable views of Aswan’s Nile banks.

The rest of the day is on the Dahabiya board, docking on Aswan shores for a relaxing night with dinner; it is your opportunity to experience the unique atmosphere of Aswan.

Meals Included:

Lunch and Dinner.

Day 2: Sailing to Kom Ombo

Enjoy a leisurely morning and delightful breakfast on board; your opportunity to uncover more of Aswan is available—a non-repeatable time with amazing memories.

In the afternoon, Enjoy a delicious lunch as the Dahabiya sails gracefully towards Kom Ombo City, arriving in around 3 hours.

Visit Kom Ombo Temple and see that it is uniquely designed with a perfect symmetry, split equally between the worship of the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Haroeris.

After exploring this unique temple, transfer to the Crocodile Museum, where you meet the god Sobek, as you will view the fascinating collection of over 20 mummified crocodiles, which were sacred animals connected to the temple's patron.

Later that evening, we'll continue sailing, where you'll enjoy a lovely dinner under the stars.

Meals Included:

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day 3: Edfu Temple and a Tranquil Sail to Esna

Start your day with a delicious breakfast on board as we sail towards Edfu city.

Upon arrival, you'll experience a classic Egyptian mode of transport: a short horse-drawn carriage ride to the magnificent Horus Temple, the best-preserved temple in all of Egypt, with its immense pylons, roof, and interior walls almost entirely intact, offering the most complete view of ancient Egyptian religious architecture.

After your guided visit, you'll return to the Dahabiya. The rest of the day is dedicated to a relaxing sail towards Esna.

You’ll get to witness authentic Egyptian daily life along the Nile as you glide past picturesque villages and palm-lined riverbanks. In the evening, you'll enjoy a special dinner. You'll spend the night moored in Esna

Meals Included:

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day 4: Luxor's Ancient Wonders and Final Departure

Enjoy your final delicious breakfast on board, followed by checkout.

Transfer by air-conditioned vehicle to Luxor's West Bank, starting from the Valley of the Kings, the burial site of powerful New Kingdom pharaohs, offering a remarkable opportunity to descend into beautifully decorated tombs and witness ancient Egyptian funerary art and beliefs.

Next, visit Hatshepsut Temple, an architectural marvel of ancient Egypt, with its unique, stunning tiered design carved directly into a massive cliff face by one of Egypt's most powerful and successful female pharaohs.

Before crossing to Luxor's East Bank, stop at the Colossi of Memnon to witness the immense scale and enduring legacy of ancient Egyptian monumental sculpture, as they are the last visible, towering remnants of Pharaoh Amenhotep III's once-largest mortuary temple.

Then, enjoy lunch at an authentic local restaurant, and visit Karnak Temple, the largest religious structure ever built, representing nearly 2,000 years of construction and featuring the awe-inspiring, world-famous Great Hypostyle Hall, a vast forest of 134 colossal carved columns.

At the conclusion of your tour, your guide and driver will provide a private transfer to your desired location in Luxor (airport, train station, or hotel).

Is the Queen Nefer Dahabiya a private cruise?
Yes. This is a private Nile cruise tour with a maximum group size of 20 guests, offering a far more intimate and exclusive experience than large cruise ships. What is a Dahabiya, and how is it different from a regular Nile cruise?
A Dahabiya is a small, traditional sailing boat that carries only a handful of guests, unlike the large cruise ships that hold hundreds. The Queen Nefer offers an intimate setting with just a few cabins, a spacious sundeck, and personalized service. Its shallow draft allows private moorings at quiet islands and hidden gems along the Nile, creating a more exclusive and authentic experience.
When does the tour start and where is the pickup located?
The tour starts on Fridays with pickup in Aswan. Your guide meets you on arrival, whether at the airport, train station, or your hotel, and all transfers are provided in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. At the end of the cruise, you receive a private transfer to your chosen location in Luxor.
Does the Queen Nefer Dahabiya cruise visit Abu Simbel?
This particular 4-day itinerary focuses on the classic Aswan-to-Luxor route and does not include Abu Simbel as standard. Abu Simbel can usually be arranged as an optional add-on. If you would like to include it, you can discuss the option with your guide or at the time of booking.
What can I expect to see at Kom Ombo and Edfu?
At Kom Ombo you explore the unique double temple dedicated equally to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Haroeris, followed by the Crocodile Museum with its collection of more than 20 mummified crocodiles. At Edfu, you take a charming horse-drawn carriage ride to the Temple of Horus, considered the best-preserved temple in Egypt, with its pylons, roof, and interior walls almost entirely intact.
What does the Esna Lock experience involve?
After sailing past picturesque villages and palm-lined riverbanks, the Dahabiya moors overnight at Esna. The passage through Esna Lock is one of the most distinctive and memorable moments of any Nile cruise. From Esna, you transfer to Luxor by modern air-conditioned vehicle to begin exploring the West Bank monuments.
Who is this Dahabiya Nile Cruise ideal for?
This cruise suits travelers seeking luxury, tranquility, and a romantic, crowd-free way to experience ancient Egypt, including couples, families, and small private groups. With its slow, peaceful sailing, refined onboard service, and a thoughtful balance of iconic landmarks and hidden gems, it is perfect for anyone who wants comfort and authentic cultural immersion in one journey.

We had an exceptional and one of the best trips with family friends on Dahabiya, Nile cruise covering gems of Egypt - Aswaan and Luxor. The trip was beautifully planned by Go Lavita. I highly recommend them. From the initial planning stage to the final day, everything was handled with professionalism, care, and customized to our needs and wants. They were constantly available and took into consideration all our requests as a big group. The staff, tour guide, all operators we met were warm and professional. Dahalbiya itself was elegant and very well maintained. The itinerary was very well curated. This dahabiya cruise was the highlight of our Egypt trip, combining luxury, authenticity, and cultural depth. We highly recommend Go Lavita to anyone seeking a personalized and unforgettable Nile experience.

Our experience on the Dahabiya with Golavita was absolutely fantastic. We had a very professional guide, Mohamed Nagdy who spoke excellent Spanish, and we learned about the fascinating history of Ancient Egypt in a relaxed and enjoyable way. The Dahabiya Iris is truly recommended, a perfect combination of comfort and culture.

We spent three days and four nights on a Dahabiya cruise with our guide Abdullah — it was an amazing experience, both fascinating and relaxing. The whole crew went above and beyond to make us comfortable, the boat was beautiful, and Abdullah’s tours were clear, engaging, and often funny. We had a wonderful time and now recommend this cruise to all our friends!

Great experience for going in the Eastern Desert of Egypt! Very easy and fast booking, good price even if it was just me, not a group. Then the beduin-driver and the guide really nice persons! The car was good, safe trip, special places, some of them out of usual touristic tours, wich was also great! I recomand!!

We organiced a big 2 day trip via Akram, two month before from germany. Communication before (and after) was very good! Serious agency. Also special wishes (flights for six people cairo, luxor, balonride) were also taken into account. Thanks!

The luxor 2 day trip was amazing. We have young children who struggled at times, but the guide and driver were fantastic. Everyone enjoyed the historical sites, and the hot air balloon ride was incredible. I would definitely recommend this trip and this company.

We arranged the tour a few weeks in advance before arriving in Egypt. Akram presented us with a complete private tour program, starting in Hurghada, visiting Cairo, the Black and White deserts, Alexandria and finally returning to Hurghada. Everything run smoothly, from the different drivers, who picked us up and dropped us off, always punctual and safe (especially Hamada, 'Medo'!) to the guides, in particular Reeham in Cairo who was just outstanding and Ahmed in the desert tour who welcomed us in his home together with his family before taking us and preparing our dinner in the desert! The overnight stays were all planned in great detail. It was definitely an incredible experience during these 4 days! A huge thank you to Akram!

We booked a tour with Golavita, Mr Akram was very quick to respond to our questions and checked in with us daily to see how the tour was going.Waleed, the tour guide, was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The bottles of water to keep us hydrated was also a very nice addition. The private transport was top class, modern air conditioned vehicles and friendly and helpful drivers.
